2011-2012 Student Senate Officers
John Jacob Lively, President
Jacob Lively was elected as the 60th President of the Associated Students of Ouachita Baptist University in April of 2010. He campaigned on the basis of delivering a presidency of transparency, integrity, and putting the students first. His campaign slogan, "Taking It to the Next Level", has been the basis of all of the decisions that have been made among Senate this year.
President Lively was a 2008 graduate of Hooks High School located in Hooks, TX. In addition to Senate, he also serves as co-president for the Ouachita Student Foundation. He is an active member of College Republicans, Tri-Beta Biology Honors Society, a Tri-Chi Beau, and a founding member of the Alpha Tau Honors Society for the Carl Goodson Honors Program. President Lively is a senior biology major and plans to pursue a career in law upon graduation in 2012.
